That's why my tree is still lit, and my outdoor lights are still turned on.
But after today we'll start to take everything down :(
To be honest, I have already put a few things away.
Some of the Santas and snow men have been packed, so have our stockings - but my nativity sets and the tree are still staying strong.
Which means that every morning Peanut wakes up and plays with his nativity set.
When do you take down all of your Christmas decorations? Do you do it all at once, or a little bit at a time?

I love that nativity set!!! Even if it is a kids set I want one!
We have the same nativity set....there are two add on sets now! I've only found them on amazon, but I want them!
As a child we wouldn't put the baby Jesus in the manger untill Christmas eve after mass. And the three kings would be moving all over the living room untill they finally arrived at their destination.
These days I usually take the tree down right after new years. And yes when the tree goes all the rest goes too.
Thanks for your comment on my blog. It is nice to meet you this way.
My kids have that very same nativity set. I was fortunate to find the matching shepherd's on a hilltop set to match it on ebay a few years ago, too.
Anyway. I didn't grow up a Catholic, so we always had all of our Christmas stuff up the night of Thanksgiving and then pretty much immediately after Christmas day we took it all down and put it away. I look back on that now and realize how much I love Catholic tradition. I never realized that the 12 days of Christmas were actually special holy days celebrated beginning on Christmas day. To me it was just a lovely song and I guessed it meant the 12 days leading up to Christmas.
Sadly, we weren't even home this year, so we did VERY LITTLE (sniff... sniff... boo...) to decorate our home this year. We did have a special Christmas Eve supper together for the first time as a family as in Eastern Catholic tradition. I did make sure the kids set up their nativity scene though! And we put up their little faux tree.
Next year I plan to go all out. I hope I do it!
P.S. My daughter is obsessed with putting the baby Jesus on the top musical button thingy.
