We found this last night at TJ's, I'm not sure if I'm sold. I'm thinking - maybe too plain and washed out (I was hoping for more color). I'd obviously add more pillows and possibly a coverlet. I do like the sheets that I bought, they are the same blue as the pillowcases and I think they will look good in the room, so that's at least a step in the right direction.

I like it!!! You can always add spashes of color if you think it needs it, but I like it!!!
Those are almost the exact colors I'm re-doing my bedroom except I have the light brown on the wall, the chocolate brown (like your bed) in the duvet, and the blue in the curtains. I'm having the same issues as you, were such a 'calming' blue almost seems to be a neutral. My thoughts are to have a few 'rusty red' colored accents. I found some pillows at Kohls that had all 4 of those colors in it and I really like it. So my issue now is finding some throw pillows and accessories that have the red color for some 'punch' as they would say on HGTV:)
